Sweet November

I'm happy that my air ticket is ready, and I've just paid off a huge debt off my card. Muahaha. Need to plan my holiday properly as I have a limited amount of time. Possibly need to get a compact digital camera. What's travelling without photos right? Lol.

Work is kinda alright. One of my colleague is leaving soon. So smart! I think his next job is great too. Designing stuff. At least a brighter future than reading standards and hearing customers' complaints. Hehe. God bless John.

I was appointed to be the health and safety rep for the company.
I must say that the HS course I attended really worth it. Widen my knowledge on HS role. Brought lots of suggestions on how to make it a safer workplace, but all of the ideas were turned down by boss. $ this $ that. Lol. Some might say I'm not taking this role seriously but what am I suppose to do? I can't exactly argue with my boss as that might lead to sour relationship and eventually firing me. Crazy. It's like fighting a losing battle. But hey at least I've tried.

Bought this HYPED UP book called Da Vinci Code just because the deal was sweet. 1/2 price for the 4 books by the dude. I must say it's kinda boring lol. After reading the first few pages it's like telling a bed time story. Maybe I'm really not a book person. I hope Angels and Demons is better.

Watched abit of Seinfeld in the weekend. A show about nothing. The best comedy show ever. IMO alot better than Friends. Even though it is old and no matter how many times I have seen it, I still enjoyed it. Hehe.

I realise my music taste changes every month or so. It was rap, then jazz, classical, indie, rock, easy listening, euro beat. Was going to put them into my pod but I was too lazy to organise them. Haha. One gripe about my pod is it lacks gapless playback. Oh well nothing is perfect.

I'm glad that Sanitta is finally taking her cast off after months of tortured pain and suffering. Hahaha no need to thank me :) It would so funny if the skin colour will be different from the other leg, possibly alot paler. Hehe. Happy for you anyway.

This is nuts

Bad luck? or bad month?

Boss gone psycho about $. Money money money.... money!
Friend broke ankle in front of me during squash. I felt so guilty after that. Get well soon.
Damaged friend's car. Luckily no ones injured.
Short attention span, nothing excites me really.
Short memory. Not only me who has this problem at work. I guess there's this magical aura in the room that makes you forget stuff.
Weak ankle and shoulder from sports probably?
Haven't been to squash for a while now. I think squash and tennis are similar.
Basketball is boring without teamplay. Too many wannabe hereos.
Tennis on the other hand is fun. I sense my backhand has gotten stronger than my forehand. Serving still need improvement.

Nearly end of the month, rock and roll!

I'm still here

Doc said not a big problem with my chest pain. Turns out its just some random ribcage inflammation. Might take some time to heal, but hey its all good. I thank the big guy up there watching over me.

*Rant begin*
So many crazy shits happened recently. Work is kinda going downhill, especially when theres money involved. Also getting blamed for doing nothing. Passing shitty jobs around that nobody wanna do. Someone has to do it said the boss. I bet most of us express the same views as I do.

Some customers are just monkeys. Not sure how they run their business. So stupid.

At least I get to release some of these anger / stress / crazy shit in squash and tennis. Just imagine they are the ball. Smash the shit out of it.
*Rant end*

At the end of the day, I'm still here.

Tired

Last night squash session was tiring. 1 hour of squash should not be any problem and yet I was sweating profusely and my leg felt tired. I was lazy to chase the ball and missed some easy shots as well. Quite inactive I must say. Thus I have come to a conclusion that I'm unfit or maybe that I was working before the squash session. Either way, time to get fit. Bike to work, go for a run before / after work, hit the gym. Go nuts.

TC called about the foam party, but I didn't realise it was on thursday night. Luckily both of us were knackered. Heh.

Went to play some tennis today afterwork and about 15 mins later I broke my racket. So sad. I guess I can't play with my brother anymore until I get a replacement. Oh well. I was kind of looking for a new racket anyway.

Uh.

Vent post

Stupid bond and bond. I brought my antique cellphone for a trade-in just after work. There was this sales rep who doesn't know shit, saw me and ignored me until I asked him questions. He must have thought that we asians don't speak english and dont pay retail price stuff. Stupid. Anyway, so I whooped out this one of a kind ancient phone, he started cracking up and showed to his colleagues. I expected that to happen anyway. Instead of serving me, this bum played with the phone. Urgh. Plus he wanted my sim card as part of the trade-in deal as well. I think that's just absolute bollocks. Why would I wanna give him my sim card that contains all my contacts? Why would they want sim card as part of the deal anyway? It's stupid if you ask me. In the end, I didn't get what I wanted. Oh well.

Confusing English

If FedEx and UPS were to merge, would they call it FedUP?

Do Lipton Tea employees take coffee breaks?

If olive oil comes from olives, where does! baby oil come from?

If people from Poland are called Poles, why aren't people from Holland called Holes?

Do infants enjoy infancy as much as adults enjoy adultery?

Why the man who invests all your money called a broker?

If horrific means to make horrible, does terrific mean to make terrible?

Why is it called building when it is already built?

If a book about failures doesn't sell, is it a success?

If you're not supposed to drink and drive, then why do bars have parking lots?

If you take an Oriental person and spin him around several times, does he become disoriented?

If vegetarians eat vegetables, what do humanitarians eat? Human

If working hours are meant for working, then why are you reading this!!!

Fun filled con't

I had my first lesson in squash on Thursday with Sanitta the queen of squash and Jengis the loudest mouth on the court. It was fun even though my leg hurt for a few days. Oh ya, I've got trashed big time.

Friday was cool, had some more toasts for testing and played with fire as shown .
Heh, this was part of the testing, I thought I should capture some photos just in case shit happens. Whole lab was filled with smoke and fumes. As if that was not enough, the fire alarm went off while I was still testing the toaster. Crap, thought the alarm might have dispatched the fire truck to the lab. Later found out the fire alarm was disconnected. Lucky. By the way how's my photographing skill?

Bought a bag of those chicken nuggets thing for Tee Chek's engagement thing on Saturday. The cheesy chicken nuggets ain't cheesy at all. Stupid false advertising worked on me all the time. Wanna make your own chicken nuggets?
You need: Chicken skin; chicken carcass; bread crumbs
1) Blend chicken skin and carcass.
2) After blending, make them into small patties and roll them in bread crumbs.
3) Fry them.

Hehe. Nuggets are bad but they taste so good.

Anyway engagement thing was fun. Lots of food, moon cakes, egg tarts, some cream puffs, dumplings were my favourites.... the cheesy chicken nuggets as well.. lol. The party ended with Jengis and I dueling on singstar and we were NOT DRUNK. Anyway, we started off with Jamiroquai's crazy girl song and some more old songs. His loud mouth did well on that Jamiroquai song. Then a few people came to witness our amazing duel, well I think they came mainly for my heavenly voice anyway. Hehe. No standing ovation nor applause though. Perhaps next time. Had loads of fun on that singstar.

Fun filled adventurous week

Shall I start off with cheesy storyline like ‘Friday morning, a light shone through the dark vortex and suddenly a voice called for me “wake up”. Maybe not? I’m not good with big words so I’ll keep it as simple as possible.

I’ll try to remember as much as possible from the beginning of this month.

Let’s begin this from last Friday that was 2/9/05.

So I was given a toaster to play with at work, something I use very often but no intention on destroying it. Yeah, I get paid for destroying stuff, nice isn’t it? I also helped a colleague to smash customer’s products into smithereens with an impact hammer thing. I’m not sure what 30 Joules will be like on a human head, pain? possibly brain damage? but smashing stuff is always fun.

We went to Coyotes on Saturday night, same group of people on the same dance floor ALL THE TIME. It’s funny how the pathway to the toilet segregates the yellows and the miscellaneous i.e. the islanders, blacks and whites. Not many yellows dare to cross to the other side. One main reason is that you will be viewed as the outcast. Another reason is you’re a banana. Whatever the reason.

That particular night, one white monkey came to the yellow island and discovered some pretty yellow female monkeys. While he was displaying his masculinity in front of these females, a jealous drunken yellow monkey joined in and challenged him to a death match. Try picturing the monkey knife fight in ‘the simpsons’. But luckily fight was not fought and no one was injured.

I had a bottle of Hein that night; it was so gassy that I couldn’t eat properly or anything for a while. On Sunday morning, I had to pick up my brother from the airport and he treated me to McD for breakfast. I also bought myself a pair of trainers. Went to basketball later that night thinking if I do some exercise I might feel better. Wrong, I felt even more tired than before.

Then come Monday, the first day of work on a new week. Nobody likes Monday. It’s a day where you would use a ‘sicky’ to extend your weekend. Not so sure what happened on Monday.

On Tuesday, we had toasts for morning break at work. About three loaves of bread was used for the toaster I’m testing. Yummy toasts. Heh, you get to eat while you’re testing. How good is that? A queue was formed just to get some free toasts.

Wednesday: Went to visit Tak at his booth in the mall on Wednesday, he made me a big rice ball. That thing was so big and filling. Hehe, caught an asian cashier digging her nose in pak n save while purchasing some more bread. So uncool.

I’ll continue later with my squash game, toasty, the engagement party crasher and more.

Update

I'm updating for the sake of updating.

Anime I'm currently watching:

One Piece - Funny but slow distribution (eng sub)
Naruto - Long and draggy
Bleach - Action pack fun anime
Prince of Tennis - Awesome tennis show with super shots

Obtained an ipod skin recently. A picture is worth 1000 words. Taken with a webcam. Quality is as good as a 4MP digicam. What do you think?
